For several years now, we have been boosting the ecosystem in French-speaking Switzerland through events, workshops and international partnerships.

Promote the development of new technologies in the field of innovation, specifically around Blockchain, Tokenization and Distributed Ledger Technology.

The purpose of Blockchain Switzerland is to reinforce the Swiss economy competitiveness through the adoption of a disruptive technology by Swiss companies.

According to the World Economic forum, up to 50% of global GDP will be stored on blockchains by 2050 , which makes Blockchain one of the major disruptive technologies of the coming years with all economic sectors impacted. Switzerland is currently positioned as a leading pioneering country worldwide with a friendly regulation, in the top 5 as amounts raised and internationally renowned ecosystem such as the Crypto Valley. With a massive blockchain adoption expected between 2 to 5 years according to Gartner, this is the perfect timing to federate the national ecosystems around concrete blockchain applications solving real economic problems .

Organization of workshops with sharing field expertise will allow implementation of viable solutions scaled to the market. Methodology has already been tested by Wecan who has launched several blockchain solutions through workshops ideation with strategic partners expertised in specific fields such as with Fondation des Terrains Industriels or Registre du Commerce. We commit to deliver Proof of Concepts each year from our workshops and they will include the following entities: – Academic experts in blockchain from partner universities – Companies specialized in the implementation of blockchain solutions such as Wecan – Experts in design thinking such as the research centre “Service Design” of Geneva University and design thinking companies such as Spark Works or Think2Make – Corporates willing to identify the blockchain relevancy and develop Proofs Of Concept Mixed teams and combination of research findings, state-of- the-art technologies, market knowledge, strategic factors and design thinking will enable new targeted solutions to be found to meet increasingly demanding customer requirements.
Our methodology relies on three pillars: Inspiration, Ideation, Impact. The inspiration part is handled by our network of partner associations and we focus on ideation and impact. On the ideation perspective , we really focus on co-creation process and design thinking methodology . Our worldwide experts will animate workshops to identify blockchain relevancy starting from real economic pain points to ideate pragmatic blockchain solutions .
